A ‘ activities apart from , but that uses our knowledge of how to construct a stained glass window, is the restoration of antique glass, to be conserved,consolidation and usability of ancient artifacts, under the supervision of the Superintendence for Artistic and Historical Heritage.
We want to mention: restoration for the church of S. Augustine in San Gimignano, for the Sanctuary of S . Caterina in Siena, for the Post Office building in Siena, for the Palazzo Pubblico in Siena, Servants of the Basilica and the church of S. Martino in Siena.
Restoration for the Church of S. Francis and the cathedral in Arezzo, Liming for the Basilica of Cortona, Consolation for the church in Castiglion Fiorentino.
For the Opera della Metropolitana di Siena has been performed among others, the restoration of the glass rollers of the right aisle and that of nineteenth-century stained glass of the lantern.
We also made copies of windows no longer suitable to be put back in their natural home: copy of a stained glass window of the school of Ghirlandaio in the church of S. Catherine in Colle di Val d'’ Elsa SI , a fifteenth-century glass in the church of S . Maria a Fontegiusta a Siena .
A special mention goes to the copy was the big eye of Duccio,placed instead of the original ,now on display at the Museum of expertly’ Opera della Metropolitana. This work ,complex and difficult, lasted several months,was the result of a close collaboration with the artist Francis died in an extraordinary synergy between our experience of artisans and his knowledge of Duccio.
